Harbor House Inn

We were looking forward to a restful stay after time in the city of Los Angeles, and Harbor House Inn was exactly what the doctor ordered. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. We were greeted by Carlynn, whose family has been running the hotel since it opened. She gave us wonderful local recommendations, helped us get oriented, and encouraged us to enjoy as many of the complimentary snacks as we wanted — a small touch that really stood out and made us feel at home. The location is ideal: walkable to the Funk Zone and the waterfront, yet quiet and tucked away from the crowds. Each morning, we made a full pot of coffee in our room and walked down to the water to say hello to the seals and take in the view — such a peaceful way to start the day. Our room was large and very spacious, with a huge bathroom featuring a spa bathtub and a private little patio, which we loved. Another highlight was how thoughtful the amenities were: complimentary bikes, tennis rackets, and beach chairs made it incredibly easy to enjoy everything Santa Barbara has to offer without extra planning. We enjoyed lunch on the pier and spent time exploring the Funk Zone, sampling local beers and wines. Santa Barbara was lovely, and Harbor House Inn played a big part in that experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Every time I visit Santa Barbara, I try and stay at a different hotel, based on pricing and curiosity. My goal has been to compare as many different places as possible and so far, I've genuinely enjoyed the variety. But Harbor House spoiled me so I'll be staying there from now on. It's a block from the beach. It was inespensive and clean. My room looked like a lil apartment. And everyone I met at the front desk was kind as can be. They had free bikes and beach towels and boards. I'll miss having the chance to see other hotels, but they just gave me too many reasons to stay.

Very quiet, clean and cozy. Very nice and helpful staff. Full kitchen with stovetop, oven, frig & freezer as well as a microwave oven. Short walk to the beach. They have their own website that you can view for local dining, drinking and visitor sites.

My husband and I just need a quick get away from LA and why not Santa Barbara .We came across Harbor House Inn through Yelp because they have such a good review compare to some other property and matter of fact we like it so much so we went back 2 weeks after the first visited. Location : Very convenient and walkable to a lot of restaurants.Which we love. Parking : If you stay on the queen suite side there are limited spaces but they do have permit for you to park on Bath St. as well but if you stay the other side of the property which is King suites.Those rooms came with 1 parking space per room. Rooms : First time we got room No.7 which was a queen suite.Man oh man that bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on in a hotel rooms.The room came with full stove and kitchen utensils,Coffee maker and ground coffee.If you decide to cook yourself some food they pretty much have everything you need.The second time we stayed on the king suite side at room 118A. The front door facing the street,So it slightly noisy than the other side of the property.The room was spacious,Basically it’s like a studio apartment.They have everything you need. Vibe : It’s very clean property.One of the cleanest property I have ever stayed.Cozy warm,Charming.Overall such a lovely place. Staffs : Every single one of them were nice and friendly.Check in and check out process went very smooth.They offer you a free snacks in the office as well. We’re already booked our next trip with them to celebrate our anniversary and 4th of July in Santa Barbara. If you looking for a place to stay in Santa Barbara.Come here to Harbor house inn.You won’t be disappoint.

Wowzers!!! From the moment we stepped in and met Carlin (and then Cody the next morning) to the amazingly cozy bed, silent night, free bikes and beautiful room, we fell in love. This place is a treasure: a family-owned hotel and quintessential Santa Barbara setting. 5+ stars!!! I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud in heaven. My bf had amazing sleep as well.

Very kind staff (thank you, Cody!), great room amenities, and helped made our late check in seamless with the instructions they sent before we got there. Would love to come back again!

This room & location couldn’t have been more perfect. The room was very clean. The studio suite was perfect for us. You can tell a lot of thought went into the amenities of the room. We walked everywhere, but they have complimentary beach bikes, towels, etc. Everyone was friendly & they provided complimentary snacks in the lobby. The beds were comfortable, but my only complaint would probably be that the pillows were not as comfortable as I would have liked. Other than that we would definitely stay here again.

WONDERFUL! Wished we stayed longer than just one night. We bought the night the day before and we were actually hoping to stay at another property, but it was sold out. So we went with Harbor House and it was so great! The room was so cute and cosy, loved the decor. There was a separate sitting area, bedroom, and a kitchen. It felt more like an Airbnb. There is no breakfast, but there are free snacks in the lobby (fruit, granola bars, biscotti etc). You can also rent bikes (not sure if they are free or not) and boogie boards, bike helmets, beach chairs and some games for fee. The location is quiet, safe, and short walk from the beach, restaurants, grocery store, and the wharf. Staff was super friendly. We really loved it and it would be our first choice of a hotel in SB.

Beautiful room/suite. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Well appointed, clean and great amenities. We're here for a week and love it already after one day! Close to the beach and walking/biking paths, restaurants and souvenir shopping.

Great small boutique type hotel, only 16 rooms. The staff is amazing. Free beach cruiser bicycle rentals. Close to State Street and piers.
